Roast beef is a very famous and very demanding dish all over the world. People love beef and try different beef recipes. Human race has come up with creative dishes of beef like a meatball, beef curry, and different kinds of sausages. On top of all these very common and delicious dishes is roast beef. 

Roasted beef is one of the oldest dishes, people love it for centuries.

How long to cook roast beef:

Around the world, you would find hundreds of recipes for roast beef. Taste varies from person to person and culture to culture. The taste varies from spicy to dry or juicy, to full or raw cooked and flavors. Considering the cooking level, chefs have to alter temperature and time settings in the recipe. When you are thinking of beef roasting first you should know which kind you want to cook 5 different types of beef roast include rare, medium-rare, medium, medium well, and well done.

In rare, you have to roast your beef for a short period. Its center should still be red and it should still be cool from the inside but cooked from outside.

 Medium rare need some more time to cook. When cooked, it is warm in the center and pink to red from the inside. It is juicy from inside and its outside is firm.

 Medium cooked takes some more time to cook. It turns gray-brown and less pink in the center.

 In medium-well, it turns pale pink color on the center, and overall its color is gray-brown, it’s juicy without any blood form. It takes more time to cook than medium-cooked.

In the well-done roast beef, you have to cook your beef on low flame for a long time. When it turns brown from its center, your beef roast will be ready.

For rare roast:

You have to set your oven temperature at 200 degrees Centigrade while you want to roast rib fillet, scotch fillet, rump, standing rib roast, rolled rib beef roast, boneless rib eye, porterhouse, New York fillet, tenderloin, and sirloin for 15-20 minutes.

Moreover, set your temperature at 160 degrees centigrade when you want to roast eye round, silverside, round topside, and oyster blade for 20-25 minutes.

For medium roast:

You should set your oven temperature at 200°C while you want to roast rib fillet, scotch fillet, rump, standing rib roast, rolled rib beef roast, boneless rib eye, porterhouse, New York fillet, tenderloin, and sirloin for 20-25 minutes. Also set your temperature on 160 degrees centigrade while you want to roast eye round, silverside, round topside, and oyster blade for 25- 30 minutes.

For well-done beef roast:

Set your oven temperature to 200 degrees when you want to roast rib fillet, scotch fillet, rump, standing rib roast, rolled rib beef roast, boneless rib eye, porterhouse, New York fillet, tenderloin, and sirloin, for 25-30 minutes. Also set your temperature on 160 degrees centigrade while you want to roast eye round, silverside, round topside, and oyster blade for 30-35 minutes.

Roast beef recipe:

Here is a simple and delicious beef recipe is available due to that you will become a beef chef master for your home family and friends. 

Ingredients:

  • A big chunk of raw beef
  • Half cup vinegar or lime juice
  • Salt to taste 
  • Black pepper 1 tablespoon
  • White pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika powder 1 teaspoon
  • ¼ cup oil 
  • A small piece of Ginger
  • A clove of garlic 
  • A sliced onion
  • Mustard powder ½ teaspoon 
  • Mint leaves
  • ½ cup of water
  • Oven pan

Directions:

First step:

Season the beef with salt and oil in the oven pan on medium flame from all sides. Let all the sides of the beef get golden brown with oil. When the roast gets browned, add all the dry ingredients to it with vinegar and rub it gently. Then, put it aside for half an hour to marinate.

Second step:

Pre-heat your oven at 160-degree centigrade, add ginger garlic and sliced onion and mint leaves on the oven pan with beef with ½ cup of water in it. Cover the pan and place it into the oven for 20-25 minutes. Because it’s marinated, all the spices will be absorbed in the roast and give you a delicious smell while cooking. It gives you a juicy flavor that will enhance your roast and make it more delicious. 

Third step:

Place the roast on another pan and cover it at room temperature to keep it warm. While the other ingredients were in the pan, crush it with the spoon. Take another pot. Place this pot on medium flame with two tablespoons of oil. Add ½ cup of water in it and add the crushed ingredients and stir it well for 3 minutes. The gravy should get thick after some time. After that, remove it from the heat. Slice the roasted beef and pour the gravy on it and serve. Finally, you will find a deliciously flavored beef roast for you, your family, and your friends.

Note:

If you don’t want to marinate it, skip this step. But keep in mind that doing so will make the meat take one and a half hours to fully cook.

Also, depending on the cooking level you want to achieve, you can take more or less time. For example, it takes 45 minutes for rare and an hour for medium roast according to your taste and desire.
